Two people have been shot dead while six others have sustained varying degrees of injuries Tuesday after Police/Military officers shot into a crowd of angry youth in Ejura in the Ashanti Region demonstrating over the murder of social activist, Muhammed Ibrahim a.k.a Macho Kaaka.
The police had been firing shots to calm tension after the residents took to the streets.
The 45 year old deceased who is said to be a member of the #Fixthecountry movement and a critic of government was attacked by unknown assailants at Saturday dawn while returning home.
He was reportedly struck in the head with clubs until he went unconscious. He was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital but was referred to the Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he died Monday afternoon.
