Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta
Finance Minister-designate, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta is billed to appear before the Appointments Committee of Parliament today, March 25, 2021, for vetting.
Mr. Ofori-Atta will be facing the Committee in a delayed vetting following his trip to the US to seek further medical care, after post-Covid-19 complications.
He returned to Ghana on Monday, March 22, 2021.
Mr. Ofori-Atta is the only nominee left on President, Nana Akufo-Addo’s ministerial list presented to Parliament on January 21, 2021, for vetting.
Mr. Ofori-Atta was originally scheduled for March 8, 2021, for vetting, but his appointment was postponed indefinitely.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Majority Leader who serves as vice-chair of the appointment committee, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin has confirmed the vetting on Thursday.
Mr. Afenyo Markin told Journalists in Parliament Wednesday evening.
