Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta Atta is expected to finally answer questions from North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on the cost of President Akufo-Addo’s trip to France, Belgium, and South Africa on a chartered private jet next week.
Mr. Ofori-Atta will answer questions bordering on the President’s trip before the mid-year budget review presentation scheduled on the same day.
These were contained in the Business Statement for the ensuing week.
North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa had his urgent question deferred upon a request from Ken Ofori-Atta to the Business Committee for more time.
But the minority in parliament accused the Finance Minister of adopting delay tactics by requesting more time to provide answers on Akufo-Addo’s recent trips on an ‘expensive private jet’.
Meanwhile, there is a counter-question standing in the name of NPP MP for Dormaa East, Paul Apreku Twum-Barimah on the cost of air travel of President Mahama on chartered flights between the period 2013 to 2016 as a president.
